He arrived in Sydney, Australia earlier today (April 14) for more ?Arthur? promotions, and Russell Brand already has another film lined up as he officially signed on to star in the Broadway musical ?Rock of Ages? last night.
The British actor negotiated his salary and seemed to have gotten what he wanted as the movie?s director, Adam Shankman, made the official announcement on Wednesday.
Shankman tweeted, ?I can officially announce Russell Brand as your Lonny in @rockofagesmovie! I see a mullet in his future. Maybe a Nikki Six??
Brand joins an ever-growing list of actors who have signed on to appear in the flick, including Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta ? who will play the film's central characters ? Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige as well as Paul Giamatti and Amy Adams. Filming begins May 19th in Miami, FL.
