To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen has been caught in a sex scandal of his own. The National Enquirer set up a hidden-camera sting to film the Dateline NBC anchor -- and now reportedly has footage of Hansen cheating on his wife while on assignment in Florida.
According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail newspaper, Hansen, 51, has been seeing Florida TV anchor Kristyn Caddell, 30, since they met at a bar in March. They have been able to carry on the affair for four months, since Hansen has been sent to Florida repeatedly to investigate the disappearance of boater Jimmy Trindade. Last weekend, the Enquirer caught the pair on camera going out to dinner at a hotel restaurant, driving to a liquor store, then spending the night together at Caddell's apartment.
"Chris sends Kristyn flowers and tells her he loves her, but he still doesn't seem all that motivated to leave his wife for her," says the Enquirer's source. "He's telling her he loves his wife too, but they've grown apart over the years, and she's not sure what he should do."
Hansen is best known for hosting the controversial Dateline segment To Catch a Predator, in which he sets up hidden camera stings to catch Internet predators in the act. He and his wife Mary, 53, have two sons together.
Will Mary Hansen will leave her husband over the affair? According to our recent iVillage poll on infidelity, married women are much more likely to forgive their husbands for an affair than single women -- especially if children are involved.
